About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual to join the team of Tasket . We are looking for a curious, persistent, logical and clever – a true techie at heart. As a Sr DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for design and development of software infrastructure for complete product suite. You will play an important role in helping build and run our globally distributed infrastructure stack and platforms

Job Location

• Bangalore, India (100% on-site)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure (primarily in AWS/GCP/ Azure).

• Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable deployments.

• Build and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Improve system observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• Optimize infrastructure for performance, cost, and scalability.

• Implement and enforce security best practices (DevSecOps mindset).

• Support containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve developer experience and release cycles.

• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.

• Mentor junior engineers and help establish DevOps best practices across the organization.

Skills

Systems & Infrastructure Engineering

• Strong foundation in Linux/Unix systems, kernel fundamentals, networking, and operating systems.

• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture patterns. Hands-on experience with public and private cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift, or self-managed environments).

CI/CD & Deployment Expertise

• Extensive experience with CI/CD practices, modern deployment patterns (blue-green, canary, rolling deployments), and related toolchains.

• Strong experience designing automated build, test, and release pipelines.

Containers & Cloud-Native Stack

• Proficiency with Kubernetes (K8s) in production environments. Experience with API gateways such as Kong, Ambassador, or Traefik.

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio. Strong understanding of container orchestration, networking, and scaling patterns.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. Configuration management experience with tools like Ansible.

• Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Go, or Ruby.

• Automation-first mindset with a bias toward eliminating manual processes.

Observability & Reliability

• Experience implementing observability best practices across monitoring, logging, metrics, alerts, and tracing systems.

• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities in complex distributed systems.

• Familiarity with reliability engineering principles and SRE methodologies.

Security & DevSecOps

• Practical experience implementing cloud security best practices.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps frameworks and secure SDLC implementation.

• Experience with access control, secrets management, and compliance standards is a plus

Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• Software engineers with a bent towards Operations engineering or vice versa.

• Kernel, Networking and OS fundamentals.

• Public and Private cloud solutions (Any of AWS, GCP, Azure, Openshift, DIY clouds etc)

• Distributed systems and micro-service based architectures.

• Experience with CI/CD practices, Deployment patterns and relevant toolsets.

• Knowledge about K8s, envoy, API gateway (Kong or Ambassador or Traefik), Service Mesh (istio or consul mesh or linkerd/conduit) Infrastructure as code & Configuration management with tools like Terraform, Ansible etc

• Observability practices and toolchains (Monitoring, Metrics, Logging, Alerts & Tracing)

• Programming with Python, Go or Ruby.

• Cloud security / DevSecOps Practices.
