About the role
The Manager- Accounts will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing effective accounting processes, finance controlling processes and manuals, internal controls, compliance, to ensure timely and accurate preparation and reporting of financial statements for various Tasket's multiple legal entities in various geographies.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of the IFRS and business together with analytical skills. The Manager-Accounts will be working in close association with Management and Business Leaders.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Close
Own end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Ensure accurate recording of all transactions, including accruals, provisions, and revenue recognition (SaaS-specific standards)
Review journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain integrity of general ledger and chart of accounts
2. Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS as applicable)
Oversee GST, TDS, and other statutory filings and payments
Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to defined policies
Support tax filings in coordination with external consultants
3. Audit & Governance
Manage statutory and internal audits end-to-end
Liaise with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit queries
Assist in preparation of financial statements and disclosures
4. Accounts Payable & Process Efficiency
Oversee AP processes including vendor payments and statutory deductions
Ensure timely reconciliations (bank, vendor, intercompany, etc.)
Drive process improvements and automation in accounting workflows
5. MIS & Reporting
Prepare monthly MIS and variance analysis vs budget
Support business teams with financial data and insights
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management
6. Systems & ERP (Important but scoped correctly)
Support ERP implementation and process design
Work with leadership to standardize accounting policies and SOPs
Drive data integrity and system discipline
7. Treasury Support
Assist in cash flow tracking and working capital monitoring
Skills
Strong accounting skills with an up-to-date knowledge of Accounting standards and Corporate laws
Strong IFRS skills required.
Basic knowledge about GST, FEMA and income tax act.
Ability to work independently and as a team manager with excellent interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of working on different accounting platforms/ systems.
Taking ownership and leading new initiatives.
Ability to Multi-task and work under pressure
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
Ability to think creatively, self-driven and self-motivated.
Experience & Qualifications
CA with at least 4-6 years of accounting experience
Experience working in a Big 4 organization
